TV and movie streaming service Netflix (NFLX) will need to begin looking for a new VP of Global Public Policy, a key regulatory role that focuses on media ownership, net neutrality, competition, tax law, and other issues throughout the EU and other areas, Recode reports.

Currently holding that position at Netflix is Christopher Libertelli who has been in the role since 2011, and confirmed to Recode over the weekend that he will be leaving Netflix over the coming weeks.

Netflix is looking to expand its presence in Europe, hiring hundreds of workers and spending billions on local content in order to increase its viewership across the pond.
