MSNBC to Lift Olbermann Suspension
LOS ANGELES (
) -- Keith Olbermann will return to
MSNBC
on Tuesday after the anchor was suspended for contributing to the campaigns of three Democratic politicians.
"After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night,"
MSNBC
President Phil Griffin said in a statement late Sunday.
Olbermann acknowledged to
NBC
that he donated $2,400 each to the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway and Arizona Reps. Raul Grivalva and Gabrielle Giffords.
