For the quarter ending Sept. 30, Borland expects a loss of 8 cents to a penny a share on revenue of $60 million to $66 million. Analysts were predicting a profit of 2 cents a share on revenue of $68.7 million. The stock was down 22 cents, or 3.3%, to $6.44 in after-hours trading.

For the year, the company reaffirmed its revenue guidance in the range of $323 million to $333 million. The stock was up 68 cents, or 13.47%, to $5.73 in after-hours trading.
