won a new program from
International Truck and Engine
, the operating arm of
. This program entails keeping the latter's new 2007 6.4L power stroke diesel engine lube oil and diesel fuel systems running cool.
Modine, a Racine, Wis.-based company that designs and develops heating and cooling solutions, expects this order to generate for it sales of more than $35 million a year for the three years of the program.
For this program, Modine will supply high-efficiency lube oil coolers and diesel fuel cooler modules, engineered specifically for diesel engines used in heavy duty F-series pickup trucks.
"This is a continuation of a long relationship between International and Modine. We were selected because our engineers worked with International to find the best solution to these tough emissions and packaging challenges. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries as emissions standards tighten even further in the future," the company said.
Modine shares closed up 94 cents, or 4.2%, at $23.14 Thursday.
