Fans of McDonald's (MCD) - Get Free Report Happy Meal will soon have their Minute Maid apple juice box replaced with an organic juice with less sugar made by Coca-Cola's (KO) - Get Free Report Honest Kids, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The Coke-owned Minute Maid will be dropped from the Golden Arches' signature kids meal starting in November. The change illustrates the Happy Meal's transition towards giving consumers more healthier options and Coke's pivot into less sugary, lower-calorie beverages.

This most recent change to the Happy Meal menu change was prompted by feedback from parents who desired a healthier beverage choice, McDonald's nutritionist Cindy Goody said.

But will the announced changes really prove to make that much of a beneficial difference as it relates to making the Happy Meal healthier?

The Minute Maid Apple Juice Box contains 80 calories, 21 grams of carbs, and 19 grams of sugar. Whereas the 6.75 fl oz Honest Kids Organic Juice only has 40 calories, 10 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of sugar.

Although that is an improvement, one would be remiss not to mention the nutritional facts of the Happy Meals' three main entrees, not to mention those famous french fries which pack 110 calories, 5 grams of fat, 15 grams of carbs, and 80mg of sodium.

McDonald's Happy Meal consists of three main entrees, a hamburger, cheeseburger, or the classic McNuggets.

The hamburger packs a whopping 250 Calories, 8 grams of fat, 31 grams of carbs, 6 grams of Sugar and 480mg of sodium. The cheeseburger will provide you with 300 Calories, 33 grams of carbs 12 grams of fat, 7 grams of sugar, and 680mg of sodium.

Those McNuggets seemingly every kid goes nuts for pack 180 calories, 11 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbs, and 340mg of sodium.

Shares of both McDonald's and Coca-Cola were rising in midday trading on Friday.
