The same 10 companies that held top spots in last week's market cap leaders list were there again this week, with only a little reshuffling of positions.
Noticeably, the new media mega-monster
moved up from the No. 10 position last week -- its first time on the list as the new venture -- to the No. 7 spot this week. This shifted
all down one spot accordingly.
made a move downward on the list this week, dropping to the No. 4 slot from the No. 2 position last week.
both moved up one slot, to the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, respectively, as a result of ExxonMobil's fall.
remains atop the list of market cap leaders again this week, with a value of $465.7 billion. GE maintains a healthy lead on second-ranked Microsoft with a disparity of about $140 billion between them.
The top-10 stocks now have a combined market cap of $2.78 trillion, up just slightly from last week.
