Lyft Ridership So Far This Year Already Passes All of 2016
Missteps by rival Uber have opened the door for Lyft.
Ride-hailing service Lyft surpassed the number of rides it gave in all of 2016 through the first six months of this year as missteps by rival Uber opened the door for gains by Lyft.
Lyft said that rides through June surpassed the 162.5 million trips the company serviced last year. The company said it has added 160 U.S. cities to its service area this year.
Meanwhile Uber has said goodbye to multiple executives, including former CEO Travis Kalinick, amid a sexual harassment scandal that has made the company's once bright future murky.
