said it opened the doors to a new customer support office in O'Fallon, Ill., near St. Louis.
The Bethesda, Md., defense contractor said the 2,200-square-foot office is located near Scott Air Force Base and reflects Lockheed Martin's expanding presence in the St. Louis area in support of its growing regional business base.
The unclassified facility will be home to a Lockheed Martin logistics team focused on exploring advanced concepts for situational awareness and visualization of worldwide transportation and distribution operations. The facility, which will support 13 Lockheed Martin employees, will also sponsor research and development projects to support future programs and requirements.
On Friday, Lockheed shares fell 2 cents to $68.10.
