Lear said its Integrated Manufacturing & Assembly venture with Comer Holdings wants to open the plant in November to supply seating systems "to a major automaker."

"Lear is pleased with its partnership with Comer Holdings as we share the mutual goal of providing our customer the highest possible level of service and quality," said Lear chief Bob Rossiter. "Additionally, this new partnership aims to promote the growth of minority business enterprises and supports the communities where we do business, and we are confident the Indiana work force will help us fulfill those goals."
