P/>Kmartundefined saw a 4.3% rise in same-stores sales for January, compared with 3.6% growth in the same period last year, the company said Thursday.

The Troy, Mich., retailer said total sales in January grew 2.4% to $2.15 billion from $2.10 billion in the same period last year.
