The top three broker sites just keep getting faster. DLJdirect, Ameritrade and Charles Schwab each recorded excellent site-performance times in the recent period ended Dec. 29, according to DLJdirect, which shows no sign of releasing its stronghold on the top spot, came in at a speedy 3.92 seconds. Ameritrade, which last week ranked third, moved into second this week with a time of 7.12, trading spots with Charles Schwab, which showed a time of 7.27 seconds, good enough for third place. Firstrade and Suretrade duked it out for last place, but Suretrade was able to escape a last-place finish with a performance time of 20.22 seconds, edging out Firstrade (which often occupies the bottom spot) by more than 3 seconds. ** Back to Metrics **
