( KBL), named two Keebler executives to the management team of the merged company.
Kellogg said Sam Reed, currently the president and chief executive of Keebler, will become vice chairman of the merged company and will serve on the Kellogg board. David Vermylen, the president of the Keebler Brands division, has been named senior vice president of Kellogg and president and CEO of Keebler.
The appointments will take effect when the acquisition closes, which is expected during the first quarter of 2001.
