
JPMorgan Chase Sued by Former Employee
NEW YORK (

employee is suing the bank, alleging ethnic discrimination, according to a report.
In an interview with the
Daily News
, Shivana Persad said her Guyanese branch manager fired her because she is of Trinidadian descent.
The 26-year-old
told the paper that the manager forced her to work on a Hindu holiday and frequently made offensive comments.
For instance, when she complained about co-workers having sex near a copy machine in March 2009, Persad claims the manager said "you Trinis need to mind your own business."

A month later, she was fired, according to the report.
