Why Singer Jason Derulo Is Ready for Some Monday Night Football
Singer-songwriter-dancer Jason Derulo is all about the music, the style and the image—key parts of a famous musician's bag of wares.
But guess what? He's into football, too, as a fan and a pitchman.
"I've been a football fan since I was a kid," he told TheStreet on Thursday, Sept. 14, at a Bloomingdale's (owned by Macy's Inc. (M) - Get Report ) event in New York City to launch the clothing line LVL XIII, crafted by designer Antonio Brown, of which the singer is a spokesman.
"We used to watch football as a family," Derulo added. The performer recently paired up with ESPN, singer Hank Williams Jr. and and band Florida Georgia Line in a video for Monday Night Football.
"To be a part of something that is all-American, that is a staple for us Americans is incredible," added the Miami-born entertainer, whose songs include Swalla, Want to Want Me and Whatcha Say, "especially, when you have something as dear to your heart as Monday Night Football."
