Jacobs Engineering Group
said Tuesday that two of its subsidiary companies received contracts.
One is a deal to provide engineering services to United Kingdom water supplier
. Jacobs will support the company's delivery of its current $5.7 billion capital investment program to 2010 and beyond.
Another is a services and infrastructure contract for the design of the new
complex in Doha, Qatar. The Pasadena, Calif.-based company will work with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to develop a 600,000 square-meter site within the Lusail commercial development on the new Al-Khor expressway just outside of the northern Doha city limits.
The development brief includes approximately 200,000 square meters of commercial, communication, educational, leisure and medical facilities as well as a 100,000 square-meter multistory parking structure, the company said.
In addition to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems engineering, Jacobs will deliver all infrastructure designs and coordinate all services across the project.
Inception to construction completion is expected to be about four years.
