got a contract from Wind Shear to design and construct the first motorsports 180 mph wind tunnel in North America with a rolling road to test full-scale Nascar race cars. The contract is valued at $40 million and will be executed in Concord, N.C.
Separately, the Pasadena, Calif.-based company said that a subsidiary company received a multi-million dollar task order under a previously awarded contract for the Marine Corps Systems Command at Quantico, Va. Under this contract, Jacobs would continue performing engineering and scientific support for U.S. Marine Corps Network and Infrastructure Services from its office in Dumfries, Va.
Jacobs also said that it signed a letter of intent with Kovoprojekta Brno of Brno, Czech Republic, establishing formal cooperation to jointly execute projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
