InfoSpace Shuffles Execs, Strikes Deal With Microsoft

The Bellevue, Wash.-based e-commerce company said former CEO Naveen Jain is reassuming the post, succeeding Arun Sarin, who will become vice chairman. Ed Belsheim is InfoSpace's new chief operating officer, replacing Russell Horovitz.Belsheim formerly served as senior vice president and general counsel. Tammy Halstead, chief accounting officer, was appointed chief financial officer, replacing Rand Rosenberg.

Separately, InfoSpace said it will integrate and extend its broadband and interactive, or iTV, applications to Microsoft's interactive TV platform. InfoSpace said it will participate in the Microsoft TV Content Builder Initiative, which allows companies already in advanced iTV development to share broadband technology for testing purposes.

The shuffle and deal did little to encourage investors on the

Nasdaq

, where InfoSpace was down about 10%, or 29 cents, at $8.01.
