NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Power company AES (AES) - Get AES Corporation Report said its fourth-quarter earnings rose 10% to 23 cents a share on an adjusted basis, up from 21 cents a share the year before.
Fourth-quarter consolidated revenue rose 17% to $4.40 billion from $3.78 billion.
Analysts, on average, were expecting earnings of 25 cents a share on revenue of $3.8 billion.
Shares of the company were rising 1.1% to $12.40 in premarket trading Monday.
