Hilton (HLT) - Get Report just made life easier for its guests driving a Tesla   (TSLA) - Get Report .

In October 2015 the hotel conglomerate announced plans to launch a charging program at 50 of its U.S. hotels with the intention of growing that to 100 by 2016.

The stations are powered by General Electric (GE) - Get Report and are outfitted to charge an array of electric vehicles including Tesla.

"By teaming with leading organizations like Tesla and GE to add more electric vehicle charging stations, we're making the travel process easier for a growing number of our guests," Jim Holthouser, executive VP, Global Brands, Hilton Worldwide, said at the time.

Now, a report from Electrek on Tuesday says that Hilton is expanding the program. "They have told us that they have installed chargers at 194 properties across the U.S. with 144 of them having Tesla Wall Connectors - and an additional 86 properties are in the pipeline for next year," the report said.

Shares of Tesla were jumping over 1% higher in pre-market trading on Tuesday. Hilton shares were trading higher.
