named Michael J. Hill senior vice president for supply chain management.
The Canton, Ohio, engineering firm said Hill was previously vice president for manufacturing in its industrial group. He will report to Glenn A. Eisenberg, executive vice president for finance and administration.
"As the company continues to grow, we are focused on optimizing our supply chain, from product development through production to customer delivery," said Eisenberg. "Mike's extensive experience and strong performance in global manufacturing, purchasing and logistics will serve him well as we continue the transformation of our supply chain."
In his new position, Hill will be responsible for purchasing, order fulfillment, logistics and manufacturing strategy. He succeeds Donna J. Demerling, who has been named senior vice president for quality and Lean Six Sigma.
Timken shares rose 19 cents to $27.94 Friday.
