The Pandora: The World of Avatar theme park (see one photo below) is scheduled to officially open May 27 at Walt Disney World in Florida. It reportedly cost Disney $500 million, and six years, to build the elaborate park that spans some 12 acres.
But while Avatar land should help Disney's still thriving theme parks business, it's only a small taste of what the media giant has coming for the key business. According to JP Morgan, Disney's domestic parks are likely to get an even bigger jolt in coming quarters as it unveils some new, huge thrills and attractions.
