Hasbro (HAS) named David Hargreaves, a 19-year company veteran, as its new chief financial officer.

Hargreaves, 48 years old, most recently served as the company's deputy chief financial officer. He joined Hasbro in 1982, and has held a variety of positions including head of finance for the company's U.S. toy, international and operations groups.

He will take over from Alfred J. Verrecchia, who was serving as financial chief, as well as president and chief operating officer. Verrecchia will continue to serve as Hasbro's president and operating chief.
