promoted two senior executives and said it would buy a closely held billing software maker for $32 million.
Harris signed a definitive agreement to acquire Optimal Solutions, a closely held Kansas City, Mo., provider of air-time sales, traffic and billing software systems to over 350 call-letter broadcast stations in North America. Revenue for the 12 months ended March 31 was $5 million, and the company currently has $27 million in revenue under contract.
Harris also named Dan Pearson group president -- defense communications and Jeremy C. Wensinger group president -- integrated systems and services. The company also named Tim Thorsteinson president of the company's broadcast communications division. He succeeds Wensinger.
