NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- A nationwide recall of frozen green pea products has been announced after frozen vegetable supplier The Pictsweet Company discovered that some of the packages containing the food may be contaminated with glass fragments.
If swallowed, the glass fragments could cause injury, the company warned.
Products involved in the recall were being distributed to
stores in the southeast region of the U.S. and
stores throughout the U.S.
While no injuries have yet been reported, Pictsweet is advising the public not to consume the following products:
Kroger 12 Ounce Green Peas
1440BU, 1440BV, 1440BW, and 1600BD
Kroger 12 Ounce Peas and Carrots
1960BD and 1960BE
Great Value 12 Ounce Steamable Sweet Peas
Best by Dates:
Jul. 20, 2012; Jul, 21, 2012
Great Value 12 Ounce Steamable Mixed Vegetables
Best by Date:
Jul. 15, 2012
