Green Peas Recalled Over Glass Traces

A nationwide recall of frozen green pea products has been announced after frozen vegetable supplier The Pictsweet Company discovered that some of the packages containing the food may be contaminated with glass fragments.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- A nationwide recall of frozen green pea products has been announced after frozen vegetable supplier The Pictsweet Company discovered that some of the packages containing the food may be contaminated with glass fragments.

If swallowed, the glass fragments could cause injury, the company warned.

Products involved in the recall were being distributed to

Kroger

(KR) - Get Report

stores in the southeast region of the U.S. and

Walmart

(WMT) - Get Report

stores throughout the U.S.

While no injuries have yet been reported, Pictsweet is advising the public not to consume the following products:

Kroger 12 Ounce Green Peas
