Alphabet's Google (GOOGL) - Get Alphabet Inc. Class A Report unit is looking to combat hate speech by expanding its policy for publishers using the company's ad-network, in order to address concerns that there are ads funding inappropriate content online, Recode reports.
Recently Google's YouTube platform lost some major advertisers when they pulled their ads after discovering the content played before offensive videos.

Summers oversees the development and implementation of Google's policies that impact publishers.
