Alphabet (GOOGL) - Get Alphabet Inc. Class A Report shares were falling after the close on Monday after the company beat earnings estimates but fell short of revenue expectations for the first quarter.
The search giant reported revenue of $36.34 billion, short of estimates of $37.33 billion, while EPS came in at $11.90, ahead of estimates of $10.60, according to FactSet. The EPS figures excluded the impact of a $1.7 billion fine by the EU for anti-competitive practice that Alphabet said it would be accounting for in the quarter.
Shares were recently down more than 4% to $1,240.
