Goldman Sachs requested additional time to respond in a court filing Friday, as the original deadline for Goldman's response was due in court Monday, June 21.The SEC granted the Goldman Sachs request, according to a report on

, citing anonymous sources.

Goldman Sachs was charged by the SEC with fraudulent and misleading practices related to the marketing of its Abacus series of subprime mortgage-linked credit investments.

More recently, reports have surfaced that the SEC is also investigating a second series of Goldman Sachs mortgage-linked securities, under the Hudson name.
