Chuck Crovitz, the executive vice president and chief supply chain officer at
, has resigned, according to a statement released by the company on Tuesday.
The clothing retailer gave no explanation for Crovitz's departure. He joined the company in 1993 as head of strategic planning and business development and most recently was responsible for global product sourcing, supply chain management and distribution.
Gap's sourcing and logistics divisions will report to President and Chief Executive Paul Pressler while an external search for a successor is conducted.
Shares of Gap trading on the
New York Stock Exchange
were recently down 17 cents, to $18.88.
