Ford is trying to speed up its decision-making.
New Ford (F) - Get Ford Motor Company Report CEO Jim Hackett has reportedly introduced the idea of a "shot clock" in meetings to help the company make quicker decisions on lingering issues
Hackett, who replaced former CEO Mark Fields in May, is looking to alleviate the perception that the company has been indecisive on important technology initiatives, such as self-driving cars.
So far, so good with this tactic inside the giant executive ranks at Ford.
