, a manufacturer of industrial flow management equipment, said it formed a joint venture with Al Rushaid Group to build a $14 million pump repair, manufacturing and training facility in Saudi Arabia.
Construction of the 220,660 square-foot complex, to be located at the Al Rushaid Oil Field Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, will start in July. It is expected to be fully operational in October 2007.
The Al Rushaid/Flowserve pump facility will comprise of two units: a 188,370-square-foot pump repair, manufacturing and test facility and a 32,290-square-foot hydraulics training center. It will provide employment to more than 100 people and be fully compliant with Saudisation requirements promulgated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Dallas-based company said.
The training center is being fully funded by the Al Rushaid Group and will be a duplicate of the Flowserve Learning Center located in Dallas.
The Al Rushaid Group is an international organization providing engineering and contracting services, facilities, and products to oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing and power generation industries.
