Facebook (FB) - Get Report and  Major League Baseball have struck a deal to live stream 20 of the league's games this season on the social media network's platform, Reuters reports.

The move is the latest initiative by Facebook to expand into the world of live programming.

Facebook said today that it would stream one game a week beginning on Friday and that the broadcasts would be available to everyone on Facebook in the U.S.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Shares of Facebook closed higher over 1.9% on Thursday.
