Facebook (FB) - Get Facebook, Inc. Class A Report on Monday said that it was expanding its "Marketplace" platform to 17 new European markets.

Marketplace is Facebook's platform connecting buyers and sellers, similar to that offered by Craigslist and eBay (EBAY) - Get eBay Inc. Report .

The platform is being introduced this week in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Marketplace is currently available in the U.S, UK, and Australia drawing about 500 million monthly visitors.
