issued a brief statement this morning saying it attained its fourth-quarter goal of 25% to 30% growth in its worldwide broadband subscriber base.
The Redwood City, Calif., broadband Internet service provider said it ended the year with about 2.95 million subscribers, up from 2.31 million at the end of the company's third quarter.
The company also said it intends to expand its retail presence and in-store demonstrations "by hundreds of stores" in 2001 and plans to expand the distribution of its retail product, the Quick Start Kit, through more cable affiliates.
