large-cap financial services analyst William Tanona has joined boutique firm Collins Stewart, published reports say.
Tanona, who is based in New York, will launch coverage of the U.S. banking sector for the London-based independent advisory firm, according to
Tanona left Goldman Sachs late last year. Collins Stewart is looking to expand its U.S. presence, according to
The Wall Street Journal
Tanona is the latest high-profile analyst to join a smaller firm.
analyst Mike Mayo left his post at the German bank to work for CLSA. Glenn Schorr of
Earlier this year Meredith Whitney left her perch at Oppenheimer to start her own company. Whitney became a familiar name while at Oppenheimer, where became exceedingly bearish on large banks like
early on in the credit cycle.
