Ex-Ford Chief Trotman Dies
The company says he died after a brief illness at 71.
Former Ford (F) - Get Report chief Alex Trotman died Monday at 71 after a brief illness.
Trotman worked for Ford for 43 years and was CEO from November 1993 until his retirement in December 1998.
"Alex was a great friend, colleague and leader of the extended family of Ford employees around the world," CEO William Clay Ford said in a postclose statement. "He was the driving force behind a vast array of visionary changes in Ford Motor Company's global management and innovative products. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him."
