E.piphanyundefined posted a third-quarter loss of 17 cents, excluding certain items, far better than analysts expected.

, the company was expected to post a loss of 32 cents a share. In the year-earlier period, the company posted a loss of $6 million, or 34 cents a share, excluding certain items.

Revenue quarter was $39.1 million, up dramatically from the year-earlier's $5.3 million.

The software provider also announced a three-for-two stock split. It's payable on Nov. 13 to shareholders of record on Oct. 30.
