executive Richard Causey was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison for the part he played in the accounting scandal that brought down the once highflying energy trader.

Causey, who used to serve as chief accounting officer at Enron, entered a guilty plea to securities fraud late last year. After his sentence has been completed, he'll have two years of probation, according to the

Associated Press

. He will also pay a $25,000 fine on top of more than $1 million he's already paid.

Just a few weeks ago, Enron's ex-CEO Jeff Skilling got a sentence of more than 24 years in prison. Former Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow has to serve six years.
