Shares of drugmaker Endo International (ENDP) - Get Report  were rising Friday after the company's generic version of Wilson's disease treatment Syprine received Food and Drug Administration approval. 

Shares of Bausch Health (BHC) - Get Report , which produces Syprine, fell slightly Friday. 

Trientine Hydrochloride will treat Wilson's disease, which is an inherited copper metabolism disorder that can lead to a toxic accumulation of copper in the liver and eventually other organs. 

Wilson's disease affects 1 in every 30,000 people, according to the European Association for Study of Liver. 

Endo shares were rising 7.4% to $3.11 in trading Friday.
