But now, Musk is offering tips for dealing with a future dominated by artificial intelligence.

Musk wrote on Twitter (TWTR) - Get Report that it's "worth reading" MIT physicist Max Tegmark's "Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." Musk linked to the book's listing on Amazon.com (AMZN) - Get Report .

In the tweet, Musk said, "AI will be the best or worst thing ever for humanity." Musk has become a proponent of smart AI that benefits humanity, but joined a group of 115 tech experts in writing to the UN to warn that "lethal autonomous weapons threaten to become the third revolution in warfare."
