Edmunds Expects August Auto Sales to Increase 1.3%
Month to month, it's expecting an 8.2% increase.
Leading car shopping and information firm Edmunds is forecasting 1,526,613 new vehicles will be sold in the U.S. in August, a 1.3% year over year increase and an 8.2% increase over the previous month.
"While any kind of sales lift after seven months of declines is encouraging, automakers still have a long road ahead to have a strong close to the year. It's a small step in the right direction," said analyst Jessica Caldwell.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCAU) - Get Report is expected to experience the biggest month to month jump at 16.1%.
