named Dorothy E. Puhy to its board.
Puhy has been the executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 1994. Her election raises the the number of independent directors of Eaton Vance to six.
It is expected that Puhy will be appointed as a member of the compensation committee and of the nominating and governance committee of the board, the company said.
The company's stock was trading at $28.54, up 58 cents, or 2.1%.
