DuPont Plans CEO Change

is making a change in the executive office, saying Tuesday that Ellen Kullman will become president Oct. 1 and take over as CEO three months after that.

Charles Holliday Jr., the company's current chairman and CEO, will continue serving as chairman and as a member of the board until Kullman's expected succession as chairman.

Since June 2006, Kullman has been an executive vice president and a member of the company's office of the chief executive, with responsibility for four of DuPont's five business segments along with its marketing and sales and environmental sustainability functions.
