Dollar Tree Affirms Revenue Outlook

The company says revenue should be $665 million to $680 million for the third quarter.

reaffirmed its third-quarter revenue guidance, which is in line with Wall Street's estimates, even after last week's hurricane caused blackouts at some of its stores.

The Chesapeake, Va., company said revenue should be $665 million to $680 million for the quarter. Analysts are calling for sales of $677.8 million.

The company said the midpoint of its revenue range would represent a slightly positive same-store sales increase.

Dollar Tree said the hurricane that hit the East Coast last week affected fewer than 100 stores. The stores lost power but no shops or distribution centers suffered significant property damage.

Shares of Dollar Tree were recently up 11 cents, or 0.3%, at $36.39.
