The companies don't expect the request to delay News Corp.'s planned acquisitions of Chris-Craft,
( UTVI). The companies expect to close the deal by the end of News Corp.'s fiscal year ending June 30, 2001.
Chris-Craft's television division is operated by BHC, a company in which it owns an 80% interest. BHC owns 58% of United Television.
Shares of News Corp. were recently down 5.4%, or $2.13, to $37, while shares of Chris-Craft were lower by 1.9%, or $1.31, to $69.06 on the
New York Stock Exchange
