agreed to buy Aircast, a maker of orthopedic devices like ankle braces and vascular systems, for around $290 million.
Shares of DJ Orthopedics were jumping $4.02, or 13.5%, to $33.70 on the news.
DJ Orthopedics said Monday that the transaction could close as early as March 30. The deal will add to DJ's earnings after Aircast is integrated.
DJ Orthopedics is a medical-device company whose products include rigid knee braces, bone-growth stimulation devices and other orthopedic products.
