for an undisclosed sum.

Mr. Gasket, with facilities in Cleveland and Carson City, Nev., makes and markets ignition components, fuel pumps, camshafts, rocker arms and chrome accessories. Dana, which is well into a program of selling noncore operations, will take a charge of $13 million, or 9 cents a share, in the first quarter.

Performance Products is located in Brooklyn, Ohio. Mr. Gasket had sales of about $66 million in 2000.

Shares of Dana lost 23 cents, or 1.3%, to close at $17.15 on the

New York Stock Exchange

Thursday.
