Two semiconductor companies said business was going better than expected in the current quarter.
said strong Asia sales led it to predict fourth-quarter revenue would be at the high end of its previous expected range of $285 million to $295 million.
While North American revenue will be flat, the company said revenue in Japan and the rest of the Asia/Pacific will be up sequentially, while gross margin is tracking around 59% to 60%. According to First Call, the company is expected to post revenue of $290.9 million in the quarter.
said it expects to post revenue of $178 million, up from a previous prediction of $174.4 million, as orders placed and shipped within its first quarter have been stronger than expected.
"Turns have been slightly better than expected two months into the quarter and are expected to continue at a good pace," it said. "The company expects to post a book-to-bill ratio for
