said its third-quarter earnings rose 1% from the year ago period.
The Englewood, Colo.-based company earned $13.6 million or 29 cents a share, in the quarter, compared with $13.5 million or 28 cents a share, a year ago. The company earned $17.4 million, or 37 cents a share from its continuing operations in the most recent quarter. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call were expecting earnings of 36 cents a share.
Third quarter revenue rose 5% from a year ago to $98.45 million as against analysts' expectations of $95.96 million.
The company expects to earn 34 cents a share to 36 cents a share from its continuing operation, in the fourth quarter, on revenue of $95 million to $97 million. For the full year, earnings from continuing operation is expected to be $1.36 a share to $1.38 a share on revenue of $381 million to $383 million.
Analysts are expecting earnings of 36 cents a share on a revenue of $94.9 million for the fourth quarter, and earnings of $1.37 a share on a revenue of $378.9 million for the full year.
During the quarter, the company repurchased 820,000 shares of its common stock for $21.9 million.
