NEW YORK (
second-quarter profit soared 72%, and the company said it is optimistic about back-to-school sales.
During the quarter, the footwear maker earned 61 cents per share on revenue of $295.6 million. Wall Street forecast a profit of 43 cents on revenue of $281.6 million.
Looking ahead, Crocs expects third-quarter earnings of 40 cents per share on revenue of $280 million, a 30% increase.
Shares of Crocs surged more than 7% in after-hours trading.
