The Canadian cola company said it hired Preslar from
, the Charlotte, N.C.-based maker of the Toast Chee and Nip Chee brand crackers. Preslar said Friday that he would leave Lance after nine years as chief financial officer there. Lance said it would begin searching for a replacement.

"His financial leadership of both retailer brand and brand name manufacturing businesses will allow him to hit the ground running and bring a fresh perspective to Cott's business."
On Monday, Cott rose 8 cents to $23.20, and Lance fell 42 cents to $18.51.
